The National Public Speaking Competition 2012

                                         “The Wisdom of Youth”

                                                National Final, March 1

 

Dear English teacher,

The Estonian Branch of the English Speaking Union invites your best students aged between 16 and 19 to participate in our National Public Speaking Competition that is going to be held in March in Tallinn. Each participating school may enter a maximum of two speakers.

The deadline for pre-registration is January 15, 2012.

The winning speaker will go to represent our country at the International Public Speaking Competition in London in May 2012 (the Programme Fees are covered by the ESU).

This year our winner 2011 Maria Sylvia Martinson proceeded to the semi-final among 24 best speakers all over the world. We are very proud of her.

The seminar is held by HM Ambassador Peter Carter on Friday, November 11 from 15.00-17.00 approx. He helped Maria to master her speech and win her Heat in London. He will give some practical advice what kind of speech is expected to be delivered and how. The deadline for the registration to the seminar is November 9.
